Fly Fishing List
This is a good general list of fly-fishing equipment and flies needed for fishing in Central Belize. Our fly list is a compilation of favorite flies from all our BRL guides. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
RODS:
- Bonefish: 7-8 wt
- Tarpon, Snook, Permit, Cudas: 9-12 wt
REELS:
- Anodized with excellent drag systems, capable of holding your fly line and at least 150 yards of 20 lb. or 30 lb. backing.
LINES:
- Light Rod: Saltwater taper floating line
- Heavy Rod: Saltwater taper floating and intermediate
- Scientific Angler and Rio lines are good.
- For deep river fishing, sink tips 300 to 600 grain.
