This if one of the first trips my Father and I took together out of the country to go fly fishing. We spent a week with Mike at Belize River Lodge, fishing with Pedro. Got to target multiple species of fish.

Bob Benson uploaded some videos in May 2020.  This video from the best we can tell is from the early 1990s – Martin is still young and we are using 2 stroke engines, however, we have added the guide poling platform for better fish sightings.  This was a fun video to remember 20 or so years ago. Thanks Bob for sharing.

What to occupy your time during COVID stay at home, well Captain John Irwin went through old video files, cleaning and clearing and found this beautiful aerial footage of the Manatee River. The Manatee River is one of the three river systems that are accessed by Belize River Lodge.  Thanks Capt John for sharing.

Video footage from our guest and friend, Jim Sweeney, from his first BRL visit. The video really shows BRL’s fishing – the flats, rivers, coastline, channels and lagoons where we fish it all for Tarpon, Bonefish and Snook. Permit was not fished on this trip but are found on our flats also.

Jim and his buddy, Erik, fished with Guide/Captain John. The videos show how active our large tarpon are, and John always takes care to make sure his tarpon ladies are released and swim off strongly.

When speaking with Jim, we mentioned that Belize River Lodge was “a little slice of heaven” and that it shows that “we take time to get the particular details right”. Thanks Jim, we are so happy that you appreciate all that BRL offers.
