Belize River Lodge sent out a very informative email in March about what all the COVID polices are in Belize – , however, things are changing rapidly for the better, and easier arrival in Belize.

Either, Bring along an Official Vaccine Card reflecting the receipt of the dual or single dose vaccine at least two weeks prior to arrival.

Or, if you cannot provide proof of immunization bring along a negative Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) Covid-19 test taken within 96 hours of travel, OR Rapid Antigen, Sofia, SD Biosensor, ABBOTT (Panbio) test taken no more than 48 hours prior to travel. If neither is presented, you can take a Covid-19 test upon arrival. Testing at PGIA airport is US$50.00 per test.

Re: COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS WHILE IN BELIZE

A few things to observe, while in Belize.

  1. Wear your mask/face covering at all times (required by law – Buffs & bandanas are classified face coverings)
  2. Sanitize often
  3. Maintain social distancing
  4. Enjoy your trip!

Belize is observing a curfew, which does not affect fishing time.  The Lodge is private property, so you can move around the property without issue.  If someone wanted a night on the town, the hours of curfew need to be observed.

Sunday to Wednesday: 10:00 pm to 5:00 am

Thursday to Saturday:  11:00 pm to 5:00 am

RETURNING TO THE USA ~ CDC REQUIREMENTS

At present, you will still need to test for your return back to the USA.  BRL will arrange with Belize Diagnostics to come out to BRL three days prior to your departure from Belize, either right after breakfast or after fishing before appetizers to administer your COVID-19 test. Your results are ready before they leave and the results are emailed later that day or early the next.

Belize Diagnostics is paid US$75 per person, directly in cash.
